Abstract of Research Project

Zeolites are known for their excellent catalytic activity. The acidity of H-zeolites depends, among other factors, on the composition of the framework, i.e. the number of Al atoms. In particular, the local concentration of Al atoms has a large influence on acidity. Our aim is to prepare zeolites with selective sites with a certain number of aluminium atoms bonded with silicon through oxygen bridges. The catalytic activity will be tested for such specific Al distributions.
