Abstract of Research Project
Stereoselective allyl transfer to aldehydes by using allyl metal compounds has been heavily investigated to date. We have extended this reaction to cyclohexadienyl transfers. Metallated cyclohexadienes have been successfully desymmetrized.
The present thesis focuses on the development of new methods for the generation of metallated cyclohexadienes. Moreover, this method will then be applied in natural product synthesis.
