• Immune regulation, mathematical modelling of immunological systems
• Chronic inflammatory diseases, pathway from infection to autoimmunity, Rheumatoid Arthritis
• Borrelia sp., Lyme disease, Lyme arthritis, treatment resistant symptoms of Lyme disease
• Evolution of sex ratios and sex determination systems in arthropods, sex ratio distorters, Wolbachia sp.
