Final Ecclesiastical Examination (First Theology Exam)
This degree program focuses on the career of a minister in any protestant regional church. As the faculty of protestant theology does not conduct the examination – the respective regional church handles it – there are, per se, no proper examination regulations. Structurally, it analogically conforms to the degree program regulations of the magister degree in theology (see below).
All faculties of protestant theology, in cooperation with all regional churches, issued an intermediate examination. The midterm examination regulations regulate the intermediate examination and students take the examination at the faculty of protestant theology. You may find additional information here.
Please contact the faculty advisor Dr. Sarah Riegert with any inquiries or questions about the degree program, as well as with any queries concerning possible future professional fields.
Magister Degree in Theology
In contrast to the aforementioned program, this degree program focuses on the academia of theology, sans the aspiration to become a pastor in a regional church. As of the winter semester 2009/2010, this degree program can only be studied in a modularized fashion. This does not apply to advanced semesters.
Please contact the faculty advisor Dr. Sarah Riegert with any inquiries or questions about the degree program, as well as with any queries concerning possible future professional fields.
