Welcome to the Institute of “Westphalian Church History”!

Our Institute exists since 1958. It was funded by the “Verein für Westfälische Kirchengeschichte e.V.“ and by the “Westfälische Wilhelms-University Münster”. Its office is in the faculty of the Protestant Theology Münster.

Our Institute represents the church history of Westphalia and Lippe in research and teaching. It includes a big reference library and a separate seminar room.

Within the projects, the institute collaborates with many different institutes and other researchers domestically and abroad.
