Committees
The Faculty Council (FBR) [de] is the central representation of all member groups of the faculty, effectively its parliament. It is responsible to elect the deanery, take decisions on examination regulations, approve of the budget, take decisions on assignments for professors, etc.
The Academic Advisory Board (SBR) [de] prepares decisions concerning academic policies and examination regulations and gives advise to the deanery in terms of academic arrangements.
The Committee for Budget, Staff and Planning (KHPP) [de] gives advise to the deanery in terms of financial, personnel and planning issues.
The Committee for Quality Improvement (KQV) [de] counsels the deanery in special questions concerning financial means for quality improvements from the federal state of NRW.
The Committee for Research and Young Academics (KFwN) [de] develops ideas and projects to support young academics within the faculty.
The Committee for Evaluation (EvalK) [de] counsels the deanery in questions concerning the evaluation of teaching.
The Committee for IT-matters (EDV) [de] gives advise to the deanery in all IT questions concerning the faculty.
The Committee for equal opportunities (GSK) [de] gives advise concerning issues of equal opportunities.
Prelimenary to academic examinations, the faculty constitutes the following:
an Intermediate Examination Committee (ZPA) [de],
a Graduation and Examination Committee (PPA) [de] and
a Habilitation Committee (Habil.) [de].

The Parish Council of the University Church [de] constitutes itself according to its own by-laws. It gives advice and takes decisions concerning the Protestant University Church.
