Abstract

Die 6. Kirchenmitgliedschaftsuntersuchung wird in Kontinuität und Wandel gegenüber den vorhergehenden Umfragen knapp dargestellt. Ein Fortschritt ist, dass jetzt neben Evangelischen und Konfessionslosen auch Katholik*innen befragt wurden. Problematisch sind dagegen das überkommene Konzept von Religion sowie das Ausblenden digitaler Kommunikation.

The 6th Church Membership Survey is summarised in terms of continuity and change compared to previous surveys. One step forward is that Catholics were now surveyed alongside Protestants and nondenominationals. However, the outdated concept of religion and the exclusion of digital communication are problematic.
