Pastoraltheologie als Praxistheorie des Volkes Gottes

Abstract

Praxistheorien, wie sie seit einigen Jahrzehnten in der Soziologie und vielen weiteren Wissenschaften erarbeitet und als Forschungsperspektive eingesetzt werden, finden auch innerhalb der Theologie immer mehr Beachtung. Praxistheorien fokussieren auf Praktiken als zentrale soziale Kategorie, ohne dabei die Spannung zwischen struktureller Bestimmtheit und autonomer Handlung auf eine Seite hin aufzulösen. Zugleich wird die Bedeutung von Materialität und Körperlichkeit an zentraler Stelle mitreflektiert. Dieser Beitrag fasst die grundlegenden Annahmen praxistheoretischer Ansätze zusammen und stellt deren Potenzial für die praktisch-theologische Forschung, etwa im Bereich praktischtheologischer Erkenntnistheorie, dar.

Theories of practice have been developed and used as a research perspective in sociology and many other sciences for several decades. They are currently also attracting more and more attention within theology. Practice theories focus on practices as a central social category without dissolving the tension between structural determination and autonomous action. In doing so, the importance of materiality and corporeality is taken into account. This article summarises the basic assumptions of practice- theoretical approaches and presents their potential for practical-theological research, for example in the field of practical-theological epistemology.
