Theologie als Heteromorphologie
Abstract
Menschliches und nicht-menschliches Leben gestaltet sich in vielfältigen Formen. Diese Lebensformen entstehen in sozialen Kontexten, werden darin (re-)produziert und gewinnen in ihrer Wiederholung etwas Natürliches und Selbstverständliches. In diesem Konstruktionsprozess von Leben in seinen normativen Gestalten werden Ein-/Ausschlüsse erzeugt. Kritische Morphologie reflektiert die performative Produktion von normativen Lebensformen und fragt nach ihrer Veränderbarkeit. An den Grenzen des Lebens beginnt die Suche nach einem Anderswie, nach anderen Formen (Heteromorphien) jenseits der normativen Gestalten und ihrer Ein-/Ausschlüsse. Der Artikel stellt im Anschluss an autobiografische Berichte des Models Joana Cortes und die Kritische Theorie Judith Butlers Kritische Morphologie vor. Er arbeitet heraus, wie in Butlers performativer Theorie des Körpers ein spezifisches Denken des Anderswie angelegt ist, und skizziert programmatisch, wie Theologie als ein solches heteromorphologisches Denken durchgeführt werden kann.
Human and non-human life takes shape in many different forms. These forms of life emerge in social contexts, are (re-)produced therein and gain something natural and self-evident in their repetition. Whenever life in normative forms take shape, inclusions/exclusions are produced as visible or hidden sideeffect. Critical morphology reflects this performative production of normative forms of life and reflects their changeability. At the borders of life, the search for an ‘otherwise’ begins, for possibilities of life in other forms (heteromorphies), beyond the normative shapes and their mechanisms of inclusions/ exclusions. The article introduces Critical Morphology, following autobiographical narrations of the model Joana Cortes and Judith Butler's Critical Theory. It elaborates how, in Butler's performative theory of the body, a specific morphological thinking of the otherness is laid out. The article programmatically outlines how theology can be carried out as such a heteromorphological thinking.
