Partizipation von Frauen am kirchlichen Handeln nach „Querida Amazonia“

Abstract

In „Querida Amazonia“ hat Papst Franziskus ein deutliches Nein zur Zulassung von Frauen zum Priesteramt gesprochen, und darüber ist theologisch nicht hinwegzugehen. Allerdings ist auch und gerade nach „Querida Amazonia“ zum einen über die verstärkte Beteiligung von Frauen an Aufgaben und (Leitungs-)Funktionen jenseits des Weiheamtes theologisch nachzudenken und zum anderen über die Möglichkeit der Zulassung von Frauen zum Diakonat. Hier kann ein interdisziplinäres Zusammenwirken von biblischer, historischer und ökumenisch-theologischer Forschung zielführend sein.

In “Querida Amazonia,” Pope Francis voiced a clear “no” to the ordination of women as priests; this cannot be ignored theologically. But now, and especially after “Querida Amazonia,” it has become possible to consider a greater participation of women in certain tasks and leadership functions beyond the sacred ministry, on the one hand, and the possibility of ordination of women as deacons, on the other hand. To this end, an interdisciplinary cooperation between Biblical, historical, and ecumenicaltheological research may be called for.
