Abstract

Based on Korff‘s reflections on structuring the material ethical field, Latour’s association sociological approach is discussed in an explorative approach to see how social ethics could think of the social and the environmental as more interwoven, for example in the form of a geo-social ethics. With reference to the current diagnosis of the Anthropocene, the reflection on this relationship is expanded to include the aspect of history. It follows that one of the great tasks of social ethics can be to bring together lines of tradition from creation theology and salvation history in an empirically well-founded way in order to clarify how the earth can be a common house of life for all.
