Concept

Unity and Plurality in Canon Law: Forms, Causes, Norms and Practice

The workshop is dedicated to the relationship between unity and plurality in canon law from the end of late antiquity to the first quarter of the 12th century. Discussions will focus on the connection between ecclesiastical and secular law in terms of both content and historical tradition, as well as the handling of contradictory norms and steps on the way to a unified canon law.
