Concept

The Spring School puts the focus on the material dimension of cross-oceanic and global exchange. These processes brought ever more distant regions into direct contact, creating dense material entanglements, but often not on equal terms. Together with experts, we will read texts and primary sources, and discuss questions of exchange and exploitation within legal and normative frameworks.
