Solid State NMR Studies on Al/N- and Al/P-based frustrated Lewis pairs.
DFG-SFB858 Project A2
Goals:
- Characterization of covalent interactions between the Lewis centers
- Measurement of Al-N and Al-P distances
- Characterization of FLP reaction products
- Validation of DFT calculations.
Challenges:
- Extremely broad 14N and 27Al NMR lineshapes
- Design and analysis of double resonance experiments with wideband excitation
- Dipolar analysis involving quadrupolar nuclei
