IfbM in Brazil - Insights into Technology Transfer in Brazil
The two-week trip to Brazil by the Institute's management ended with numerous new impressions and insights into cooperation between industry and academia.
We took the opportunity to discuss research topics such as innovation and sustainability with partners from various institutions and to exchange ideas about the possibilities of knowledge transfer in the context of country-specific conditions.
In addition to the Fraunhofer Institute, the German House of Science and Innovation, and the German Centre for Research and Innovation São Paulo, we were also able to engage in professional exchange on the topics of energy and sustainability with the Chamber of Commerce in Rio de Janeiro. University correspondence with the USP on research transfer in science as well as opportunities and risks of university spin-offs were also in focus.
We would like to thank all participants for the experiences and the warm welcome. In particular, we would like to thank Laura Redondo as representative of the Brazil Centre in São Paulo & Anja Grecko Lorenz from Münster for the great support and organisation of the stay. We look forward to continuing to cooperate closely with the Brazil Centre in the future to further strengthen German-Brazilian university exchange.
