Cells-in-Motion Cluster of Excellence presented at New Year Reception
The Cells-in-Motion Cluster of Excellence was the theme of this year's New Year reception of the Münster University on Friday, January 10th. At the commencement of the reception, guests were introduced to CiM with a laser show of 'cells in motion' on screens in the foyer of the castle of Münster. Later on, touchpads throughout the foyer allowed guests a closer look at microscopic and tomographic images of the interior of organisms. The CiM film, showing at the basement 'cinema' of the castle, gave additional insight into the research of the cluster. The choir 'Simple Voices', composed of several cluster members including co-coordinator, Prof. Michael Schäfers, performed songs of the 1930's with which 'the audience was delighted', wrote the newspaper 'Westfälische Nachrichten'.
