A.3.11 Global Business Problem-Solving with African and German Student Teams
A collaboration between the University of Münster, Ashesi University, University of Ghana, the United States International University-Africa and international companies
Get first-hand African experience: This project offers you the unique opportunity to gain international experience and strengthen your intercultural capacity while collaborating with students from African universities. In German-Ghanaian-Kenyan student teams, you will help internationally active companies to tackle current problems they face in the business world. You will contribute your individual strengths and your academic knowledge, and apply and broaden your intercultural skills.
The participating companies will present to you real-life challenges they face in their efforts to act sustainably. Over three weeks, you will cooperate online with your student colleagues from Ghana and Kenya to develop ideas, strategies or even full solutions for the situations described by the companies. After the three-week working phase, in a final online workshop the German-African student teams will present their outcomes to the companies involved. Potential different approaches, ways of thinking, experiences and competences from the German-African student teams might, in working together, well produce creative and impressive results, which we are all looking forward to.
The number of participating students is restricted to ten from each of the four universities. Therefore, a selection process is carried out beforehand. High motivation, flexibility and personal commitment are required to make this international student project a success and fun for all involved.

Therefore, late arrivals who leave the event in between or before the end of the event will repeatedly interrupt this dynamic. We therefore ask you to arrive on time and participate fully. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late at the start of a fully booked event, you will lose your seminar place. Any places lost due to late arrival will be allocated to subsequent participants.
- Full participation desired: Full participation is desired for reasons of process and content. If you can foresee that you will not be able to attend in full, we therefore recommend that you cancel early. Instead, choose an event that suits you in terms of time.
