    Studied Anthropology of the Americas, Prehistory and Early History and Egyptology at the University of Bonn, graduating in 2004 with an epigraphic study on Tortuguero, Mexico. In 2015, doctorate at La Trobe University Melbourne on the orthographic foundations of Maya writing and the phonemic reconstruction of Classical Maya. Winner 2015 of the Nancy Millis Medal and since 2015 Honorary Associate and Adjunct Research Fellow at La Trobe University. From 2014 to 2020, research assistant in the project "Text Database and Dictionary of Classical Maya" at the University of Bonn, among other things in the field of digital text edition and linguistic analysis, since April 2022 as an advisor in the office of the Max Weber Foundation in Bonn.
