Ways to the Museum

Address:

By public transport

From Münster (Westphalia) main station, take bus line 1, 12, 13, 14 from bus platform B1 to the Domplatz stop (approx. 50 m on foot).

From bus platform C1 with lines 2, 10, 11, 22 to the Domplatz stop (approx. 50 m walk).

 

By car

Coming from the south:
Take the A1 to the Münster Süd exit. Change to the A43. This becomes Weseler Straße, which leads you directly into the city centre. At the Aasee lake turn right into Aegidiistrasse and at the end of the street turn left into Johannisstrasse and then immediately right again into Pferdegasse. After about 100m you will see the Fürstenberghaus on your left, on the ground floor of which is the Archaeological Museum.

Coming from the north:
Take the A1 to the Münster Nord exit. Change to the B54 in the direction of Münster, which becomes Steinfurter Straße. After approx. 3.5 km, this again becomes Schlossplatz, at the end of which (junction Amtsgericht) you turn left into Universitätsstraße. At the end of Universitätsstraße, this becomes Bispinghof, at the end of which you turn left again into Pferdegasse. After about 100m you will see the Fürstenberghaus on your left, on the ground floor of which is the Archaeological Museum.

On foot

From the main entrance of the main station, walk into Windthorststraße opposite. This becomes Stubengasse. Follow this until you reach Galeria Kaufhof, where you turn left into Klemensstraße, at the end of which Prinzipalmarkt is on the right. Follow Prinzipalmarkt to the Westphalian Peace Town Hall and turn left onto Michaelisplatz. This leads directly to Domplatz, at the end of which is the Fürstenberghaus. This houses the Archaeological Museum on the ground floor.
