We discuss strict comparison of C*-algebras that admit a Cantor spectrum diagonal and its relation to dynamical comparison of the underlying partial action of the normalisers. We present a new property, diagonal comparison, that aims to amalgamate the two, and a tracial divisibility property that is used to establish relations between these forms of comparison.
