6th annual Symposium of the Münster Graduate School of Evolution
The 6th MGSE Symposium was held on 22nd – 23rd March 2017 in collaboration with the Center for Philosophy of Science (Zentrum für Wissenschaftstheorie, ZfW). About 50 researchers of the natural and life sciences and philosophers of science met at the Institute for Evolution and Biodiversity for a lively interdisciplinary dialogue under the theme "Between Science and Philosophy of Science".
As in past years, the MGSE Symposium provided the doctoral students with the opportunity to present and discuss their ongoing PhD projects and to learn about studies taking place in other faculties and departments of the graduate school. Their posters and presentations were embedded into contributions from Principal Investigators of the MGSE as well as three keynote lectures by renowned philosophers of science: Philippe Huneman from the CNRS in Paris, Rasmus Grønfeldt Winther from the UC Santa Cruz, and Marie I. Kaiser from the University of Bielefeld.
